Abbreviation: **PIDom**
====Definition====
A \emph{principal ideal domain} is an [[integral domains]] $\mathbf{R}=\langle R,+,-,0,\cdot,1\rangle$ in which 


every ideal is principal:  $\forall I \in Idl(R)\ \exists a \in R\ (I=aR)$
