Prerequisite, CPSC 231. You will explore the principles and techniques of data communications with special emphasis on networks and distributed systems. The I.S.O. Reference Model for open systems interconnection, and the Internet Protocol Model in particular, will be investigated and the function and operation of each protocol layer analyzed in detail.
